You have to adjust the brightness. The settings change when HDR is enabled. I have yet to find the optimal calibration but it looks much better once you tweak it.
For those of us experiencing the issues OP is referring to, the steam deck never switches to HDR mode on the display, you can pull up the right side quick menu on the deck and on the screen with the brightness slider there will be a logo at the top right that displays “HDR” when it is receiving and displaying HDR video
Please let Let us know if you figure out a fix for this OP, I’m in the same boat.
I tried the steam version with the free trial and it works there
Not working for me on that trial version
HDR seems to be working on the OLED model, but I downloaded the trial in Steam instead of installing the battle.net version.
You ever get this sorted?
not really. Someone here mentioned the Demo Version of the game on Steam actually works with HDR, which i can confirm. Im not gonna buy the game again on Steam to confirm if this is an issue with the Battle.Net Version of the game or not
weird. I was able to get HDR to turn on with the demo steam version but it looks washed out.
FACTS! me too, and no the hdr looks horrible on diablo for some reason.
