Car: 05 ford explorer 4.6 v8

A while ago one of my spark plugs jumped out of my engine (apparently that happens alot to other people with the same car???) so i got some guy to fix it with a helicoil. It worked and everything was fine, until i was checking my plugs and coils a few months later And when i pulled out that specific plug,

  1. The helicoil came out with it
  2. When i tried to put it back in i stripped something. I only know this because when i was tightening it was very tight and something snapped, after whatevet it was snapped, the plug was just spinning in either direction

So my question is this: I bought a new helicoil kit and spark plug, but i wanna know if i need to re-tap the hole in the center? Or should i try to just put in a new spark plug with a new helicoil on it. Need quick advice, won’t last longer without my car

The Ford 4.6 V8 of this era is known for this. Truthfully, I’ve been a mechanic a good while and I try to stay away from doing this type of work because it either work and you’re great. Or it doesn’t work correctly like now and it’s going to turn into a huge mess. It sucks but I would take it to a shop or dealer that specializes in this repair and hope for the best that the bill isn’t that huge.
