I was literally playing cyberpunk 2077, phantom liberty with no issues up until I updated from 3.4.11 to 3.5.5 less than a day ago… so it’s been ~ 19 hours, I didn’t change any settings. I booted up the game and played for a few minutes then it crashed. I didn’t think much of it just went on about my day. Then a little later I decided to play again and realized there was a problem. I can’t play, it just keeps freezing - ranges from refusing to get past title to reloading a save, then freezing (and I have to force quit) to just causing my whole steam deck to crash and reset itself.

I tried rolling back and was able to - by accessing the efi boot menu, then I followed instructions to set the boot to be persistent in konsole. Low and behold the problem persists. So I don’t understand, what changed? it seems the update did something and I’m baffled, That’s the only game I’d been playing and it should work just fine so it’s a hard problem to ignore. I feel tricked, I didn’t need to update. I feel like this was something for the deck OLEDs and now I have to suffer because of it - when I was happily gaming on my LCD steam deck prior to updating.

I want my steam deck back.

3.5.5 broke my sound over headphones and my internet tether

It fixed halo infinite and broke Titanfall 2 so when I wanna play Titanfall i just go back to 3.4.11, unfortunately it auto updates everytime i turn it off.

    Hopefully they’ll fix it soon
