I’ve tried getting a straight answer from random boards online but I just can’t seem too. I have a 2016 Hyundai Elantra with 130k miles on it that has, as far as I know, never had its transmission fluid changed. Lately I’ve noticed a bit of a delay in switching gears while accelerating from low speeds and was thinking maybe I should get this done or do it myself. My question comes down to will I cause more issues potentially by changing the fluid then if I just left it alone. I want to specify I do mean just change no flush. Sorry if anything I’ve said doesn’t make sense I’m not the most mechanicly inclined

Ill give you a straight answer. The transmission in your vehicle is considered a sealed unit. Meaning the trans fluid is never meant to be changed. Your shifting issue is most likely a trans temperature sensor. Changing the fluid wont cause any damage, but its not gona fix any either.
