I’m glad this is winning. Shows that at the very least we’re not emotionally blinded to quality. RVP is one of the most gifted technical players we’ve ever seen in the Emirates era. Were it not for early career injury issues he may have been nothing short of talismanic. Sad to think what could’ve been if Arsenal was allowed to have full, healthy careers of Cesc, RVP, Diaby, and Wilshere.
As it was, he peaked late, left early, and will go down as one of our clubs great recent villains.
This one hurts more than any other because he’d easily be my personal favorite player after Henry. Dude was amazing. And it pisses me off because he was the difference on winning the title the year after he left like a snake. I really think we would’ve won if he chose to stay.
There is no doubt. Man I really hated him when he left, but enough time has passed that I can look back and be able to appreciate how incredibly good he was once he stopped being injured all the time. A cut above Giroud, Auba, and Jesus for sure.
Robin van Persie (2010-2012)
absolutely. he was so good.

As a one season peak, it has to be RVP
But overall gotta be Auba
