We all can fight all day long if its Bimmer or Beamer, but what are your regional nicknames?
For example in the Balkans we call them Bembara or Benjo.
Bembara basically means Baby BMW.
BM
In Sweden too
Black Man’s Willy
Sniggers in 1980’s schoolchild
Well, where I live we mainly speak spanish or spanglish (english and spanish mixed) so people usually say “el BM (be, eme)” as in “the BM” but each letter is pronounced in spanish.
PR brother!?
Bavorák in Czech Republic :)
Because Bavaria is Bavorsko in Czech.
Bumer in Russia
Don’t forget the BMW Anthem:
Черный Бумер
BM in Korea.
Bimbalas or “bus stop sweeper/taker”
Bus stop sweeper?? I need to know more
I may have heard bimmer once, 30 years ago. On TV.
It’s always just been BMW.
Personally, I just name drop the series or chassis code. Rare that ever mention the brand.
If some weirdo Audi person has no idea what I’m on about…they’re free to look it up.
You drop the chassis code and just hope people know what you’re talking about? Imagine trying this in a workplace environment when someone asks you if you own a car…. Or when your extended family asks the same question…. But for sure dude, make it as hard as possible on the non auto enthusiasts, this makes us all look goof
The “funny” guys in Germany call it “Bring Mich Werkstatt”.
Or: “Bei Mercedes Weggeworfen”.
Daddy’s money is common in southern US
Bimmer in Denmark
Steve.
We call it Bavorák (Bavarian)
Bmtroublew for haters or bms for the rest of us
Busen Müssen Wackeln (Boobs must jiggle) Bring mich Werkstatt (bring me to the mechanics) Bei Mercedes Weggeworfen (thrown out by Mercedes) Bayrischer Mistwagen (Bavarian shit car)
Those are some of the names Germans have invented for our beloved brand
