so i’m moving from tennessee to lake tahoe next month and i want to purchase snow tires and get them on my car before i go. i want to buy 1 tire a week because they’re too expensive for me to buy at once. my question is would it be safe to drive without all four on at once? or should i just buy the tires separately, then once i have them all put them on?

I don’t know think you’ll find anyone who wants to sell you just one tire. Unless if they’re brand new.

Have you looked at buying them used?

Take the money you were going to buy the tire with that week and put it in a jar then when you get to the 4th week you have all the money for all the tires boom all 4 tires at once

Don’t plan on using snow tires to make the journey. Travel on your existing tires and then install the snow tires. You’d spend a significant % of that cost in extra gas.
