It’s pretty good! The camera is straight up better, looting is faster (and easier on us obsessive container checkers), inventory management is more intuitive. I’m not a fan of the spellcasting radial menus, but I was starting to get used to them before I sold my og deck.
I love my Steam Deck but honestly I felt that BG3 was a much better game with a mouse and keyboard and it ran much better on my desktop. It’s a tactical RPG with some intricate menu UI and I just felt it was better suited to a more traditional play style.
Plus I’ve heard it really chugs during Acts 2 and 3 — I wouldn’t know, I switched to desktop when it was semi chugging through Act 1.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is amazing. I’ve been playing since release and still going! Played early access too. Definitely pick it up.
How does BG3 play on deck/controller.
I’m afraid to try as I know my brain would constantly be going “this would be soooo much faster on k&m!”
