Just ordered my first deck and couldnt be more excited! Feels a bit daunting getting started but what is some tip/advice you wish someone told you when you got your deck? Thank you!

Make sure to rainproof stain your deck, especially if you live somewhere it rains a lot or is very humid.
Be sure to have enough comfortable seating for anyone who drops by, with some of it located away from your BBQ because some guests may be asthmatic.
