Hi!
Coming here for some advice - my 2010 Prius was caught in the floods we had in New York back on 9/29. The driver/passenger part of the cabin + center console looked like it was hit with a wave of water, but overall there was no longterm standing water in the vehicle. I took the car to my usual mechanic who does light fixes for me, and though it looked dodgy for a second, the engine and hybrid engine came out of the situation totally clear. After spending a few weeks drying out, the car is driving great, but the ABS/Traction Control/Brake lights, as well as the Airbag Light/Passenger Seatbelt Sensor come on every time I turn on the car.
Got a diagnostic read today and these are the codes that are still coming up:
HV ECU Current
P3107
U0129
U0151
U029A
Airbag Current
B1650
B1823
B1828
B1833
Antilock Brakes Current
C1203
C1210
C1336
C1345
C1392
It’s a lot - but I feel these are all connected to both the Airbag and Antilock Brake Sensors getting water damaged. The Airbag sensors may also be connected to damage that was done to the seatbelts with the flooding. Looking to see if anyone has had these issues after a flood/spill (I’ve seen lots of mentions online), and what the solution was. My usual mechanic doesn’t really handle electrical issues and the dealership is going to be way too expensive for me so hoping to find an Independent Prius mechanic who can help.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have!
I’d start checking ground connections for corrosion.
