Recently have had a pretty bad turn of events in life and got into an at-fault accident that has left my car un-drivable.

This was also a great time to learn that my insurance policy covers damage to others but I will receive no compensation for my vehicle.

Yes I understand that the accident and the lack of insurance compensation is 100% my fault and have spent more than enough mental energy beating myself up for both

I’m not the most mechanically inclined, don’t have a dad that gives this type of advice and want to ask you guys.

What’s the best course of action for my vehicle? I’m trying to get the most amount of money for it to put towards a new car and would like to know my possible routes of action.

Yes, the damage is more than its worth if you have to pay for professional labor. I’ve repaired a few myself and thus did not pay for labor. Parts aren’t very expensive for E46’s anymore. If this was a convertible and manual, I’d offer you cash now as I am on the hunt for one.

Your best bet is to part out what you can and scrap the rest. You may get a 1-3k that way depending on how good of condition the parts are in

Damn too bad it’s not a convertible 😂

I’ve also been suggested to call used car part places near me, send em some photos and see what they’ll offer to take it off my hands

But you’re saying to part it out for as much parts as I can sell and THEN offer it to a used car part place?
