I have a 2014 ford focus mk3 with key fob. The battery has become so flat (in 4 days) it won’t even unlock.

First thing we tried, using the mechanical key back-up: no can do as previous owner says it was broken into and the mechanism for the key is actually removed entirely.

Second attempt was using duct tape to tape a handle onto the passenger window to pull it down manually, did not work. At all. Videos made it look so easy, but I’m guessing that’s potentially with older cars with mechanical window winder?

Third attempt: prying the bonnet to get to the latch: can reach it, but it does nothing. Presumably the yellow latch is a secondary mechanism.

Is there anything else we can try? Don’t want to have an expensive call out for something we can potentially do ourselves!

Can you get to starter motor positive under car?put a charger or if you have a extra little battery or a jumpstarter there and negative on chassi. Should be able to give power enough to open doors.
