I’m just mystified here… it was in main & preview for something like 6 months.
As soon as it’s released to stable, complaints are flooding in about microphone not being detected, audio cracking, black screens, GPU clock wrong, etc. This is a worse release than the time they moved from 3.3 to 3.4 last December.
None of you noticed any of this??
I noticed that some games crashed alot on 3.5.1 Preview which has still not been fixed but other than that 3.5.5 seems to have introduced new bugs.
I updated to 3.5 as soon as it went stable. I have seen zero bugs in that time.
This is the first I’m hearing about any of that. I haven’t had any problems. Though audio crackling after resume has always been a little bit of an issue.
I’ve had 3 crashes in the past 4 days after updating.
Is that related to any of these bugs or just bad timing?
I did not experience any of the things you’re describing.
Only bugs I noticed in preview were backlight on while docked. Quiet audio until reboot. Really really high contrast and screwed up colors when switching to desktop mode.
I was running 3.5 for months. The only bugs I noticed was:
- Backlight staying on when docked.
- Audio cracking; ONLY in RetroArch when the volume overlay was being displayed.
- Darker colors sometimes in desktop mode (they fixed that one).
Those two were already reported.
I just assumed no one on preview uses remote play. Updating basically has put my playthrough of starfield on hold since its unplayable through remote play :(
I never had any if those issues while running it in preview.
Still haven’t experienced any bugs
Crackling noise?
Lots of people did, the sub was inundated with people in the beta channel complaining about these bugs months before it hit stable. Most just assumed they’d be fixed by the time it got general release and that was the reason it was taking so long, but apparently not.
