Steam deck or Rog Ally

I’m a massive fan of Valve as a company, and this year I am looking to buy a steam deck OLED. However, I have recently seen that the Rog ally is a better alternative to the deck with better performance and graphics. Me personally would rather buy the steam deck because I prefer the look of it much more and I love the OS and brand, but should I get the Ally? Some things to note is the Deck has 1TB of storage and the place I would buy the Ally from only has the 512Gb in stock. They are both a relatively similar price. Also if I buy the deck I would get a travelling case aswell for free as opposed to the Ally where I would have to buy one. Is the 800p-1080p difference really that noticeable? Is the higher refresh rate really needed? Any answers are appreciated.
