Los Angeles area here: the uptick of Mercedes’ EVs is noticeable, and roughly an equal split of sedan/SUV. BMW’s EVs are a little behind in visibility (ymmv), but there is a definite increase.

It’s a scam. I live in a large city where you can’t even find a parking spot let alone a charging station. Let’s raise the price of gas so a lower income family can’t afford to go to there minimum wage job. This only hurts the lower class. I’m curious how much it actually costs to charge you vehicle? More than gas? I really don’t know but I do know that we don’t have the infrastructure to jam ev’s down people throats.
Do you remember the ethanol added to gasoline to reduce emissions? How’s that working out. Half of congress and senators have money in corn. How about timing the traffic lights so I don’t have to stop every 50yrds.

I charged my car from 23% to 80% last night. Cost me $6.89.

Did you have a point in asking?

Oh my gosh are you telling me that bleeding edge tech isn’t cut out for everyone in every use case?

Of course there will be plenty for whom EVs won’t work yet - either because if range or their charging situation.

In Q3, 15.6 percent of all BMW car sales in the U.S. were all-electric

Surprised this wasn’t including PHEV or something which these headlines often do.

Porsche (10.3 percent) and Volvo (10 percent).

Surprised Porshe is so high with only 1 EV in their lineup, and conversely surprised Volvo is so low, with nearly all of their range available as EV.

15% seems dismally low—not that I’m complaining, the world needs more B58 and S58 engines on the road
