I just pulled the trigger and ordered this beast of a X4 M40i - including options roughly 95k EUR incl taxes. Managed to get 17% off MSRP at my dealer and delivery is expected Feb/Mar 2024.

Financially, I can easily afford it, have a safe job, making 120k a year (before taxes). But somehow I feel a tiny regret in my considering how much this is worth and what I have committed myself to. I test drove this beast, was an absolute blast.

Any thoughts? Prayers? :D thanks /r/bmw

Man, a 95k car on a 120k salary is realllllly pushing it. For reference I make quite a bit more than you and really debated whether or not to spend even 50k on my bmw.

From a financial perspective, this seems a fairly dubious move. But if you think owning it will genuinely improve your quality of life, great!

You already pulled the trigger too, so… congrats on the new car. You’re gonna be excited when it arrives.

it’s probably good that you didn’t test out an X6M, otherwise you’d have “settled” for a lightly used X6M before buying a new X4 ;)
