Sorry probably a dumb question but, can you buy digital steam gift cards / voucher codes, like you can for say the Nintendo eshop?

I know some retailers sell physical gift cards. I also see an option on steam to send money to steam friends…

But is there any option to just buy a digital code not linked to anyone’s account?

Yes, but I’ve never found them cheaper than buying on Steam directly. All third party sites always seem to have a markup on them.

You can buy any game as a gift also by selecting that option in Cart. Then give it to someone.

OP doesn’t have their Steam account and doesn’t want to gift the game that way.

You can try getting a digital key from one of the many key codes websites! You can check the likes of humblebundle.com, greenmangaming.com, and fanatical.com (three websites I personally recommend and use frequently) for key codes of games you’d like to gift. Just keep in mind, they also sell games for other game redemption stores, so make sure the game your purchasing is redeemed ON STEAM before purchase. Also, the code is provided digitally only, so you’ll need to print it out, write it in a card, email it, etc.

Then, the gift receiver just needs to redeem the key in Steam to have the game added to their library.
