If anything, he can play 2nd striker in the future with more of a switchup/dual role at certain stages of the game within a match. I still see us needing that dominant and imposing CF in our squad which we still haven’t quite filled the void in a long time (since Giroud who has his fair shares of good qualities and shortcomings)

I don’t agree with this take at all. I really feel like Marti is best as an LW. Keep him there and work on making sure the striker and he are able to freely rotate. We need him to get closer to goal in one-on-one situations. The worst thing would be to beat him up on the interior of the defense.
