Maybe Adidas just produce a set bulk amount and then say ‘here you go, now go out there and be sold’. The popularity of the black kit probably wasn’t expected otherwise they might’ve upped up the numbers at the start of production. Getting to the end of the season they probably didn’t bother producing more as they were moving to produce the next season’s kits. I agree tho, they could’ve had the black kit as the away one for a second season it was that well loved.

The limited numbers for the women’s away kit is frustrating too - maybe Adidas were testing the water as it was the women’s bespoke kit and didn’t have enough faith to produce higher numbers, but the lack in availability for that for those that missed it is frustrating as well

Was honestly baffling how they didn’t make more of the black shirt, don’t really buy football tops often and it was my own fault for wanting it so late into the season but I couldn’t find it anywhere, really makes you think how much money they missed out on especially with us looking like we were going to win the league for the majority.

The kits are made a long time in advance so it is hard to guess how many shirts will actually sell

I’m still bitter about the black kit not being available. I haven’t bought a kit in years and really wanted that one. I was on the notification list for months and then the season ended and nothing.
