I have a 1996 Chevy c2500 automatic and I was told the flywheel needed replaced so I bought it but I just realized that it says it’s for a manual but I’m unsure, I just bought the flywheel because that’s what I was told was the issue. Issue is not turning over and it sounds ds like metal on metal Almost. Any advice?

There is so much wrong information here I don’t even know what to say so let’s start with no a manual transmission flywheel is not the same as a flexplate.
