    People complaining: why?

    I don’t see any problem. It is our kit, just as it must be: simple, with the correct blue, our four stars logo, and tri-color stripes on the shoulders.

    This is everything we need for our National Team’s shirt.

    Sports marketer here. A lot of people here seem to not understand the standard economics behind world kit sponsorships. Here are the facts:

    • adidas’ premium they paid the Azzurri, is at least 3x what any domestic Italian brand (kappa, diadora, macron) would have been able to afford

    • adidas’ merchandise distribution is global, the Italian brands mentioned above are regional at best. Worldwide distribution is a huge factor in kit deals as well as any additional bonuses that are tied in these types of deals

    I share the same sentiment around the bland, childish look of this forthcoming kit, but know there are way more factors involved in how this comes to life than your subjective aesthetic opinion.

      I mean, it’s less subjective if EVERYONE is sharing the same opinion. Besides, from a marketing pov this kind of mediocre product doesn’t really do the Italy team any favour. They’re missing out on tons of profits, from Italian fans who are on edge about buying a jersey and will be zwayed away to football fans who buy jerseys based on how cool they look.

      This a disservice to the team in general from any pov. Commercial, marketing, branding etc. (that is if this really ends up being the final product, which I hope it won’t).

        You have to understand target (perhaps overly so) on kids 18 and younger. I understand what you mean by the aesthetics of it from an adult perspective, but it’s not the target

    Not too bad, looks like the stripes on the arms might have the flag colors which is cool. Would look better when someone is actually wearing it and it’s not vaccumed onto a dummy. Also curious what the name & number font looks like
