Like the title says, I’m looking to see if there are and brands close to Mazda. Specifically Japanese.
I like to pair my car accessories to brands close to my car maker. I’m new to Mazda so not really familiar.
I’ve seen Motegi on Mazda race cars which i plan to get since wheels but any one know of there are others?
AutoEXE is definitely a Japanese parts company with strong ties to Mazda. As others have said: RE-Amemiya for rotary goodies. I think Knightsports is Japanese, they do have parts for Mazdas, but i don’t think that’s exclusive.
If you are okay with broadening to non-Japanese only aftermarket companies that do Mazda parts, your options open quite a bit.
As others mentioned, corksport and racing beat are the main Mazda aftermarket companies but Megan Racing also makes a bunch of aftermarket Mazda suspension components. I pretty much have a complete suspension setup from them on my 2010 3 Hatch.
You looking for rotary companies? There’s tons
Autoexe is the one that first comes to mind
As far as being “affiliated” with Mazda, don’t think there’s any.
But for aftermarket parts you can trust, Corksport is probably your best bet.
Not sure if they have a sub on Reddit or not, but I know one of their reps posts somewhere on Reddit regarding new Mazda products. Whether it’s here, a 3 or 6 specific sub, or a Corksport sub.
I’m not sure how “affiliated” they are, but https://store.awrracing.com/ make good motor mounts. I have used them on 2 Mazdas I’ve owned.
AWR are awesome.
Racing Beat did a lot of the parts on the Mazdaspeed Protege and it’s predecessor, the MP3. I can’t recall the source of the turbo on the MSM. The MS3 and MS6 were mostly in house and corporate parts bin with Volvo and Ford bits.
