I have pretty much exhausted all of the options I know of. I have some obstacles that are keeping my house massively internet less, and I am not sure how to navigate it.
My house has no Ethernet, coax, or phone line ports. My fiber router (ATT) is located in room 4 (the office).
I own a 2 node mesh router (TP Deco X86) which currently has a separate SSID from the ATT modem/router combo.
I also own a 2 routers, an Asus wifi 5 dual band router and I think another Asus wifi 6 router, both not being used. I have a power line set that has been not reliable, but maybe I don’t understand how to properly use it (tp link av2000).
My issue is wifi reception downstairs is slow at best (1.1mbs down, couple hundred kps up), intermittent to out of range at worse (family room especially).
Another issue: my Game Room is a home theatre, with dual wireless subs that will catch interference with wifi 5 channels. The deco nor the sound system let me manually set channels.
I want to fix this for less than $1000USD, and while running Ethernet would be the best option, I fear it’ll be over budget.
