Car was stuttering, struggling to go. Was told by AAMCO we needed a new transmission. Had that done. But vehicle is still doing the same thing and they’re saying it’s a something to do with the fuel line issue so they changed a couple sensors (for free) but it’s still doing it. We have the car back, but on the drive home the check engine light came on. I’m feeling like we didn’t need a new transmission but it’s already installed and paid for but our car is still not running right. What should I do? Seems like they keep throwing parts at it in hopes it solves it. I just want it fixed.

I dont know how relevant this info is but Ive seen the same issues on heavyduty trucks and machines. All tho they’re diesel engines but lots of times if the problem starts after a couple minutes of run time it might be caused by negative pressure at fuel tank.

You can easily check if thats the cause by leaving the fuel cap loose or off completely. What causes this could be blocked breather valve (not necessarily a valve, could be just an open hose to tank that allows air to flow in there.) Also you can check it by running the car with fuel cap closed untill problem appears then release the fuel cap to see if there negative pressure in there.

Its a long shot but might be worth checking. My knowledge on newer cars is really limited but those symptoms and codes could be related to fuelpump not getting enough fuel.
