Firstly, why I am interested: I might be in Manchester in February and thought about the possibility of seeing a match.

As I was looking for the dates and times when the games are, I noticed every match scheduled for Saturday 17:00 o’clock, and as I started to look into it, it seems that the timetable for matches are made just few months (or one month?) before based on TV broadcasting.

This in itself is not a problem for me, but as some games are on Friday night and some on Monday night, I would not be able to get to see them. I would need to start getting tickets quite soon I imagine, but don’t want to waste money on a match I might not be able to attend.

So, is there any predetermined date to look forward to that they announce the February schedules or some other way I can be sure that the game is on Saturday or Sunday?

Officially it’ll be confirmed in early December, reality who knows. All matches are listed as 3pm on Saturday but then move for tv coverage/spacing out if there’s midweek games/cup fixtures.

Midweek like a Wednesday is pretty unlikely but Friday night and Monday nights are becoming more common and then of course Saturday and Sunday fixtures.

Your 17.00 is our 15.00. If they’re all listed at 15.00 on Saturday then they’re not yet scheduled. The TV companies decide nearer the time, usually a couple of months in advance but cup games can move a league game.

If you say what date on Feb we can probably give a better idea on it, but it’s not perfect.
