So ive wanted a steamdeck since they announced it but since then i have bought a high end pc. Now with the launch of the oled edition ive been thinking of actually buying one. But my question is, people who have high end pc’s, did you regret buying a steamdeck? Do you play totally different games or the same but for example on the couch? The only reason i would want to buy one is so i can lay on the couch in the evening and just relux instead of sitting at the desk but it just feels really unnecessary. Would love to hear your thoughts!

My PC isn’t quite high-end, but it’s still very decent - 5900X and 3070. I have found the Deck to be an excellent complement to the desktop. When I first got it I was using it almost exclusively, largely I think due to the novelty of being able to play my games anywhere instead of just at my desk or streaming to the TV via Steam Link. Eventually it settled into its niche - I can play most of my games on it if I want to play in bed, or when travelling, or whatever, but more demanding games where I want to appreciate the graphics, I play on the PC. Or sometimes I stream them from the PC to the Deck! I expect that use case will only get more common once my OLED Deck comes, as it’s a superior screen to my PC monitor, size and resolution notwithstanding.
