The main aim of signing Ronaldo for Juventus was clearly to win the Champions league, which they didn’t achieve. I see this as the main reason why people claim Ronaldo wasn’t a good signing for Juventus. As well as him being one of the main reasons for Juventus’ economic issues.

    Yes and No.

    He was individually a huge success, Ronaldo put up some mad numbers and got them some wins that Juventus team had 0 bussiness winning.

    However, the financial implications of his transfer were absolutely disastrous. Juve essentially spent 100m + 30m per year on Ronaldo instead of rejuvenating the entire sqaud which needed a rebuild very badly. They also got nothing back as Ronaldo left in free agency.
