To preface I know nothing about cars, but I got a used Hyundai Tucson GLS 2015 on October 6th of this year from a large dealership. They had me sign an “As-Is” Warranty, I test drove the car, clean, smooth, no lights etc. They gave me on paper that they performed a full service on the car prior to selling it to me. I have a sticker that shows they changed the oil in September 2023. So about a month before I purchased it. Fast forward to last week, I am hearing some weird rumbling noise when I accelerate but there’s no lights on the dash board and it’s just when I’m driving under 20mph.
Now today my check engine light is flashing at me, I take it to my nearest auto parts store and get a diagnostic and get the following codes: P1326 and P0014. — I drive home and the noise is so loud when I accelerate I thought the engine was gonna explode. Anyway, a friend tells me one of those codes could be related to the oil, so I go in to check the oil and there’s absolutely NO oil on the stick. The oil is bone dry. There’s no visible leak. I’m afraid I’ve messed up my engine. Can someone tell me the salvageability of this issue? Also if you know anything about warranties am I still able to raise hell with the dealership? I assume i’m SOL on this. Thanks in advance!
Haven’t you been checking oil level?
