I have a 21 m340. I always let it warm up first and get to operating temperature but the car stays in sport plus constantly. Is it gonna cause any excess wear and tear? Still have 1 year of warranty left on it.

    Denmark, Europe.

The police have means to confiscate your car, if they deem you are racing or causing significant danger to the public. It is a judgement call made by the officer, and then they simply take it. This is also the case if you drive twice the speed limit on any type of road, highways included.

The most famous example is ~2 years old, when a Norwegian picked up a lamborghini in Germany, but got caught speeding through Denmark on his way home. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-08/danish-police-confiscate-luxury-sports-car-caught-speeding

In recent years they have cracked down hard on the automotive enthusiast community.

    • Chiptuning - they can confiscate the ECU if they *think* the car is tuned
    • Downpipe/catless exhaust - at least a fine and mandatory inspection at the local equivalent of the “DMV”
    • Lower your car - if the head lights are too close to the road (vertically), you get a fine

    The list goes on…
