Hi,

So I have an old Lacie d2 Quadra. I backed up a lot of old images and videos a while ago and I wanted to review some of them.

I plugged it in my Mac computer and it showed up, but it was empty, there was only the device manual and a single picture. Though in the device’s properties it shows that 570GB are full.

So the pictures are there but I cant see the files.

I’ve tried the Lacie Desktop Manager app but the drive doesnt show up.

How could I fix this? Thanks

    There are a lot of things you could try that would make it much more difficult for a competent data recovery specialist to recover your files.

    If your gas furnace with a circuit board stopped working, would you take it apart, asking questions on Reddit about how to find it?

    I have no relationship with www.myharddrivedied.com except as a happy customer (an SD card failed onsite before I could back up important photos).
