My tv supports it, tried in 4k and 1080p and nothing

    All devices in the chain need to support Variable Refresh Rate in order for it to work. It might be that a generic USB splitter/dock with HDMI doesn’t actually follow the spec, thus preventing the TV from doing a proper handshake.

    Sucks, but true.

    It’s hdr that now works in external displays with the official dock. I don’t believe vrr is supported
