Whatever will they do? They should be in League 2 at this point if Everton were deducted 10pts, so are clearly overachieving.

Man City did the same thing last season just before playing Liverpool.

Haaland didn’t play that game, though. He was actually injured.

I don’t even like Man City but it must be so infuriating to lose your main striker because he got injured on a fucking friendly against Faroe Islands.

Camavinga got injured in a training session, to play a qualification game for a competition France have already qualified, against Gibraltar.

Seriously, fuck off with those international breaks, teams don’t pay millions for their players only to see them getting injured against literal part-time footballers.

I feel like once you’re qualified coaches should be perfectly fine with top players refusing the call up. There’s too many games as it is play some young guys.

They’ll just unscrew the damaged foot and ankle assembly and replace it with a new carbon fibre one.

Haaland, Rodri, Ake, Ederson and Kovacic all withdrawn from International duty. Guarantee that 4 of those 5 will start the game against Liverpool. Not to mention Ederson withdrawing means Alisson plays.

Watch him be perfectly fit for City’s next game. A lot of top clubs do this sort of thing so their best players don’t play internationally.
