Just ordered one of the Steam Deck OLED’s haven’t had a deck before, PC has a few 3.2 ports and some USB 4 ports as well, wondering what should look for if any way to get a high speed connection hopefully between my dock and deck since I plan on using it in desktop mode sometimes.
I understand normally like hooking up a PC via USB to another typically isn’t going to enable some file sharing or network drives or anything like that by default. But wasn’t sure in terms of deck whats possible since if it acts at all like how most mobile devices do when connected up.

Just make a network share and you will see it on your PC. Same the other way around.

You can do usb-c to usb-c and have the deck show up as an MTP device like a cell phone, but it requires changing a setting in the bios to enable dual role mode for the USB port and using a plugin, iirc it’s called DeckMTP or something similar.
