2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE. About 58 thousand miles. The squealing noise doesn’t happen until right before I fully stop. The weird thing is it’s not all the time on every stop. Checked the brake pads and while they aren’t brand spanking new they definitely aren’t the source. What else could I check that can possibly be causing it?
The source is the pads vibrating in the caliper at light pedal pressure causing dry metal against dry metal. They need removing, cleaning and re-installing with a light smear of high temperature grease at the contact points between the pads and caliper.
Awesome I’ll try checking that out. I appreciate it.
