Asmir Begovic and Tim Howard scored from their own box, where is the documentaries about them?

“triggers” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. There is no causal proof, their entire article is based on correlation only

It’s not that big a leap to causal inference in this case to be fair. If there’s a logical link between the two, the timing of the ‘treatment’ (documentary) is fairly random (ie it’s not expected to coincide with some other factor that increases long-range shots), and there’s a strong correlation - then there’s a fair that one probably caused the other.

Didn’t read the article but after Rice scored that long range shot he mentioned the Beckham documentary, like he watched it the night before and that inspired him

Rice specifically said he attempted his shot because he remembered what Beckham had done. What more proof would you want?

Would be class. Legendary player who also literally stopped a war in the Ivory Coast.

Don’t even like Chelsea and didn’t like Drogba when he was playing but would definitely watch a documentary about him especially stopping the war in Ivory Coast being part of it and heard that he has a huge god like status across Africa like how Argentinians and Napoli fans love Maradona, would be Interested in exploring that part of his legacy in Africa

What would that trigger? Uptick in unselfish striker play? Goals against Arsenal? Jamie Carragher being mogged?

He wasn’t a ten-season-consistent-monster, like a Messi…But he was so clinical, and was the epitome of a big game player.

It’s not that he racked up an insane goal tally, but more so the timing and circumstances of some of the goals he scored.
