I want a 3 series, especially m340i, but all the ones in my area are rebranded titles or very high mileage or huge seller markups and im now leaning towards b48? Am I missing out a lot? Will I regret my decision? Is it worth the extra 10-15k$?

b48 is an excellent engine. It’s “basically” a b58 - 2 cylinders. BMW tuned the b48 in the 3 series to be very peppy from a stand still, so it feels very good. The b58 just gives you an extra shove that is truly thrilling. The b48 is still an amazing engine.
