I will forever be triggered that the 1200p screen is called Deck HD and not Deck FHD. The standard 800p screen of the Steam Deck is already considered “high definition”.
Yeah but personally, I think we should retire calling 720p HD anymore. I know it’s just a name and thus doesn’t need to strictly be true, but in today’s day an age, it’s rare to consume sub-720p content, so it’s not really high definition at all. It’s the new basic minimum.
Names for resolutions are stupid anyway. We should just use numbers. I’ll accept a name for the ratio so you don’t have to give both numbers, since it could get unwieldy otherwise (you’d have to specify both dimensions) and there are only two or three common ones anyway.
