With AMD Z1 extreme processor already out for some time and proven faster than the years old SD processor , why Valve dont put it in their SD update ? what are they waiting for ? with their very limited distribution network worldwide are they intentionally limiting themselves to US EU market place only ? it is impossible to find steam deck in asian countries and yet we can find even lenovo legion go right after launch due to excellent worldwide network of lenovo (and Asus)

Without processor update steam deck looks more and more like it will be relegated to emulator machine / old games handheld only. Look at the benchmark of modern games like AW2 , Starfield and Baldur Gate 3 on SD vs on Asus… Steam deck ran very slow even at low resolution compared to Asus Ally and Lenovo Go

Valve said they will look into upgrading CPU in 2025 , thats too long for a PC gaming platform…

or they are in talks with AMD with new kind of CPU (low cpu cores , increased GPU cores ) ?
