First of all - I really enjoyed my Steam deck. It is my favourite gaming device and I really enjoyed the year I owned it. I really started to appreciate small indie games which I always ignored on “big” platforms, and I also spent countless hours in my favourite Souls games, and it just works in your backpack device, mindblowing.

So when OLED was announced - I decided that I WANT that limited version of my favourite device. Here comes the bad part: I am not from USA/Canada. But I have USA account which I used last year to purchace regular Deck, it was delivered to me by mail forwarding service.

And I decided - why not, I WANT this device. I bought a bunch of gift cards (nothing illegal ofc, regular online gift card retailer), added funds to my USA account and waited for 16th to be one of the first OLED enjoyers.

You probably know what happened next: failed purchase, account ban, funds are stuck inside it and now could not be used in any way, support is not answering my requests.

I don’t know what I want to achieve by creating this post, maybe just to share my sadness and anger. Yes, I probably broke some Valve rules, ok. Sorry for being the fan who wanted to buy the best version of my favourite product directly from it’s manufactorer and not from scalpers, sorry for being born outside USA.
