    Macbook (with Apple Silicon), if you can take its very high pricepoint.

    If you want to expend less, buy Thinkpads, depending on the model, you can settle for cheaper just-right spec (RAM, SSD) for your needs right now and scale its capacity/performance in the future by upgrading RAM and SSD. That’s the time when those RAM and SSD are actually cheaper compared to their pricing when you buy now, you will never be able to do this with a Macbook.
