Why would it ever be a specific number? Qualifying is also a different format in every confederation. The question is even worse than asking, “How maybe points does a team need to at least readt top 3?”

There’s no fixed number required so it’s not really a question that can be answered. Largely depends on confederation, format and how the opposition perform. eg. in South America 20 will probably do. Harder to guess for other continents since they’ve all changed format.
