I don’t feel as bad about not getting to buy an OLED anymore lol colors look so much better with this latest update!
Can anyone make a ”before and after” picture of the colors?
what color settings are you using ?
Just played some elden ring to test it out and was getting 40+ fps on medium settings and Temps didn’t go above 85 c.
Looks beautiful, plays beautiful. Was thinking about the upgrade to OLED but I’ll just wait until there is a steam deck 2
Now I’m just sitting here waiting for my deck to update. Nothing else to do today.
Uncle Gabe should be world president
Its so much better its insane
Agreed. I was waiting to see the 3.5.5 update and now have way less immediate fomo for the OLED. Eventually will likely buy it but now I have way more patience as the lcd looks fantastic now.
This is why I made a good guy valve post about how they knew the oled was coming and still chose to give lcd users a screen upgrade via software and people got so mad it was insane lol.
I’m getting insane performance improvements on the yuzu emulator. Mario odyssey is now running at a consistent 60fps instead of constantly dipping below 40
I finally uv my steam deck! All -50mv!
Looks really good very happy with my lcd deck
Yeah, I thought it was just me at first but the display colors are quite noticeably sharper on the LCD screen than they were previously. I may still cave and buy an OLED in a few months when a sale pops up but I’m really in no hurry now. Valve is truly the MVP.
For real, I ordered, frustratingly, an OLED LE, and when the update finished on my og SD… I for a moment experienced buyer’s remorse.
Goodness the UI color tweaks were something I didn’t know I needed.I got my steam deck a week before the oled was announced, and I’m loving 3.5.5. Even if it ain’t got a 6nm apu, still does what I want it to do, both gaming and streaming.
Color saturation really does a lot to improve the perceived quality of an image lol
I never thought the Deck’s LCD panel was THAT bad but I definitely like it more ever since I started using VibrantDeck and now the built in vibrancy settings
