I have been playing the game before, but it had bad stuttering and performance issues. After the update, it runs smooth like shit. What’s your surprise game? What have you been expecting, what was a downgrade?
Elden Ring, it’s not a perfect 40fps, but it feels much smoother
What are your settings and resolution, if I may ask? Waiting for my OLED and planning to dive back into Elden Ring once it has arrived.
None because of the 200/1040mhz bug…so stable
Final fantasy xv, on 3.4 stable it will dip below 30 and have frame stutter
In 3.5 at 800p, i can get stable 40 on roaming and never below 30 while fighting (tested on chapter 9)
I haven’t heard the name of that game in 8+ years. Brings back memories man
Genshin! Really felt a difference there. Still no constant 60 but it had really inconsistent frameworks before, even at 60. Now it’s smooth.
d4, 3.5 made it run like shit rn
I only had about an hour to play post update, fired up 7 days to die and couldn’t figure out why it looked a little shitty. Finally realized the update reset all my fsr settings, and didn’t have time to get everything dialed in perfectly so i cannot comment. I will say the 60fps seemed a little more consistent than it was previously, but, again didn’t really get a chance to run it through the paces.
Was playing spiderman. Closed the game and installed the update. Re-opened it and I was shocked at the increase in quality.
I played Spiderman Miles Morales. It seemed to be smoother and seemed to have less powerdraw as well compared to before the update. Am playing on 40fps limit and it is utilising 18w average. Prior to the update I think it was more than 20w average.
Skyrim SE used to run like shit on the deck with graphical overhauls, had around 25-30 fps in outdoor areas but now even with maxed out settings I get 50-60 and it feels a lot better to play.
Awesome I might get into modding it on the steamdeck too, then. Any recommendations on a well balanced mod list for the deck?
Don’t have an exact modlist off the top of my head but the main ones I use are Skyrim 202x (1k textures version), SMIM, Skyrim Flora Overhaul, and Enhanced Lights and FX. It looks overall pretty good on the SD, definitely an improvement over vanilla, I’m sure there’s other graphical mods but it’s all just personal preference.
Awesome, thanks! Is dyndolod still a thing in 2023? And is it needed on the deck? Has been giving me the creeps on my old pc
I’m not sure tbh, there’s a few different tutorials on youtube for how to install mods. I personally just transferred them from my pc to a usb and then to my SD.
I capped my framerate at 60fps and it’s very smooth
did steam released 3.5 stable ? switch emulation is way better on 3.5 because they fixed the smt bug
Has anyone tried Yakuza 5 with the wrong videos playing?
How about God of War?
what performance improvements? i got 45ish fps in dirt rally 2.0 before and i get 45ish fps now
Has anyone tried remnant 2?
