Hey all, I just bought a 2015 VW Polo 81 TSI and filled the tank with 91 I guess out of years of habit… realised pretty quick (but not quick enough) I’ve messed up and should’ve used minimum 95

Should I:

a) go buy octane booster immediately

b) wait a bit then top up with 98 to balance it out

c) leave it, one tank won’t kill it

    Just drive with less than 50% throttle and keep RPMs low. Once you’re low enough you can do option B

    A full bottle of octane booster is probably going to boost the octane level by 0.1 per a bottle, would probably cost a couple hundred dollars, just frequently top up with 98.
