I was set on buying an HP Envy x360 with 1TB SSD/16 GB RAM but now don’t feel comfortable buying from HP for moral/political reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions for similar computers at a similar price range (£1000)? (and yes, I know, most laptop manufacturers are going to be problematic)

Maybe the Lenovo Yoga 7i? But if you’re willing to share, what exactly do you mean by moral/political reasons?

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into it. HP is on the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) list.

I mean the obvious is Lenovo IdeaPads and Dell Inspirons that are the direct major OEM competitors to the Envy line.

HP Spectres are amazing laptops if you want to go up the premium range, mine is my best laptop I’ve ever had. Other good laptops are Dell XPS and Lenovo ThinkPads.
