I’ve been trying to turn on the chat features for the Samsung Messages App but all the guides online say to simply toggle the "chat features button in settings but it is not there for me. Did they remove this feature or move it to a different place?
Sadly, samsung rcs is carrier dependent. So if your carrier no longer supports it, rcs won’t work in Samsung messages.
I went from a Samsung s8 to s23 ultra and lost the rcs chat. THATS RIGHT same carrier, no change in data plans, same Cricket SIM card. Just lost the RCS features. It threw me into Google messages. I’ve done everything I can and it just won’t work.
Rcs bugs out for me and occasionally goes back to sms. A restart of my phone usually fixes it
I’ve had similar issues and restarting the phone was annoying.
I use a galaxy Tab 8, if you don’t use the Samsung Message app on the phone, this won’t sync across devices, right? Does the Google Message app work and sync with multiple devices, phone and tablet?
This is the exact reason I’m here. I normally use Google msg but now I want to sync my calls and texts up with my tablet
