The mirage was at one point statistically the most dangerous car, as it had the most fatalities in accidents compared to other cars. I’d rather buy an actual coffin.

Imagine borrowing $25k at a high interest rate just so you get to drive a brand new compact Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi is one of the last car brands I’d ever look at, especially the new hunks of shit they produce. I’d get just about anything else, new or used, before getting one.

Has been and always will be a last resort for buyers. The dealer runs out of options you’ll get approved for, but you can have your choice of any eclipse, mirage or outlander you can find parked out back 🥴

A Mitsubishi or a Nissan is just screaming to the world “my credit is bad, get out of my way”

My son bought a lower trim for $18K and it’s a sad, underpowered, badly built, little shoebox. He’s regretful of getting it.

Why wouldn’t you just get the i10 instead? The base spec of that is surprisingly good given the extremely low price

That’s hilarious you can spec one up that high. Like what options does that really get you?

A bit too high, I think it shouldn’t cost more than 20k, after all it’s just a rebadged previous gen Nissan Micra.

People are pointing out cars that would be better buys at $24k than this thing. There are a lot, obviously.

I think the more interesting question is what cars would be worse values for $24k.

There are probably lots of $24k used cars that would be worse (an ten-year old Quattroporte, maybe? although at least that would be fun until it broke down), but I wonder what new car costing $24k would end up being a worse idea than this Mirage.
