Never see him in great GK discussions at all but seems to be brazil’s best GK ever?

Peaked between 07-2010. Was one of the key reasons why Inter was able to defeat Barcelona in the semis in 2010 when they seemed unstoppable during those years under pep guardiola. His prime was cut due to injuries and inter was never really the same after 2010( Italian football started to decline in general). After inter completed the treble he did win Uefa Goalkeeper of the year and series goalie of the year, he won series goalie of the year the two seasons prior. At times his judgment wasn’t the best, he conceded questionable goals at times like colliding with melo in the 2010 World Cup which ended in a lost. He isn’t on the same level as a Manuel neur because he didn’t have great longevity and he mainly relied on athleticism compared to neur,Buffon who have better positioning and are overall more complete.

Brazil never had world class goalkeepers till Alison/Ederson. They were are ways sufficient.

Brazil mentality was: if they score 3, we score 4.

      Worst take I’ve seen.

Brazil with “mid” goalkeepers Taffarel and Marcos: conceded 4 in 7 games in 2002, conceded 3 in 7 in 1994.

what the hell are you talking about? WC are not the only games played. Qualifiers and Copa America counts.

Very athletic, decent with his feet, and probably the best keeper in the world in 2010. Kinda small for a goalkeeper though

A great GK in his prime, but for me he ain’t as good as the two GKs Brazil has nowadays. My fav Brazilian GK shall always be Ceni, even though he wasn’t the best

In terms of Rome itself i think he was disastrous. He led the republic into an Empire and ultimately that resulted in the failures and problems that crippled it and resulted in it not being around today. That being said he was truly an historically great leader of men that could inspire, rule, plot, and strategies as well as if not better, than anyone in history, and his accomplishments are so great that even with his notoriety I believe he is underappreciated.

He was also a good keeper who could play at a world level, but was ultimately nothing too special and not comparable to the greats of his era.

He’s not Brazil’s greatest gk, who told you that crap?

Dida and Tafarel were light years ahead of him and Alison and Ederson are much better.

He had a couple of good years, but his real value was when he relegated with QPR
