Dammit AMD, drop a 16 core X3D part already for the folks who don’t want to go buy an entire new system.

What are people’s general thoughts on going from a 5600x to one of the x3d chips? The two extra cores would be nice as I stream on discord quite a bit and have a 6800xt. The 1% lows are really where id love to see big gains

Got 3600 atm, can’t really afford 5800x3d (the price of CPU alone + new cooler + new PSU) so I got myself 5600 (it was a decent deal, $100 minus $60 in store credit) right before the announcement. 5700x3d is still a rumor but if it ends up available I’ll switch to that if the price is right. Kinda on the fence about returning 5600 but again it was only $40 pretty much and 5700x3d is some months ahead at best.

I went with a 5700x because I didn’t want the cooling troubles a 5800x3d would bring into my crammed system. And money of course.

      5700x3d sounds pretty nice
