My account is set to automatically allow users to follow me. But I got two accounts I had to approve. It said at the top of the “follower request” that although my account is not locked Mastodon.social staff want you to approve these users manually. Does this happen with suspicious accounts? I’m just curious.
Yeah, suspicious accounts or accounts that have been flagged by a lot of people for spamming and other dubious behaviour.
